Today, there are globally 284 LNG storage tanks and 59 vaporization or re-gasification terminals operating safely. For more than 40 years the LNG industry has had an enviable safety record. LNG is transported by specially designed carriers, which ensures safe and reliable transportation. LNG is non-toxic and non-corrosive. If released, LNG will evaporate and disperse quickly into the atmosphere, making it less harmful to the marine ecosystem and atmospheric environment.

LNG takes up comparatively less space. 1M³ LNG is converted from 625 M³ natural gas. LNG is transported by specially designed carriers for long-distance transportation, which makes both export and import of natural gas a reality, at the same time, enabling the expansion of China's gas supply.

Re-gasified natural gas is recognized as today's cleanest fuel. When burning, it produces fewer emissions of key pollutants and particulates than other fuel sources. Sulphur is almost entirely removed in the liquefaction process; thus combustion of regasified LNG emits negligible amounts of sulphur dioxide.
