After an international bidding, Guangdong LNG Project chose Northwest Shelf Australia LNG Venture as the long-term gas supplier and awarded it a 25 year contract securing an annual gas supply of 3.7 million tons. This is the first LNG import contract in China. |

The LNG carrier departs from Vesnier Bay of Dampier Port, Western Australia and, after a 2,770 sea miles journey, arrives at reception terminal berth at Chengtoujiao, Dapeng Byland in Shenzhen for unloading. |

Guangdong LNG Project has ordered 3 LNG cargoships in total from Shanghai Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Plant; the first-"Dapeng Sun" and second -"Dapeng Moon" have been delivered on April 3rd, 2008 and July 10th, 2008 respectively, while the third will be delivered by the end of 2009.
