Since 2009, Dapeng Sub-district Office has enhanced the communication with GDLNG and showed its value in maintaining relationship between company and local community. To build a better local community jointly, GDLNG sponsored RMB650K to Dapeng Sub-district Office for Xia Sha Village Water Reservoir Purifying Project. On Jan.29, 2010, the donation ceremony was held at Xia Sha Village. Wu Peikui, VP of GDLNG, attended ceremony and gave a speech.
The Xia Sha Village is a tourist area. More than 3000 people residents in this area and nearly 5000 tourist daily in the summer. In the past, water is supplied by Dou Mi Tian and Beng Tian water reservoir. However, the Dou Mi Tian reservoir was terminated for the reason of poor water quality. After investigation, GPA submitted the report to executives indicating that Xia Sha Village Water Reservoir Purifying Project have great benefits to local residents, meeting our commonweal program requests. Approved by executives, GDLNG decided to donate RMB650K to this project. In the ceremony, the leaders from Dapeng Sub-district Office and Xia Sha Village expressed their appreciation to GDLNG. They also committed to support Guangdong LNG project and establish a favorable environment to secure safe operation.
GDLNG sponsored RMB500K to Dapeng Hospital for medical instrument purchase as and RMB 150K to Xia Sha Residential Area to build sport facilities in 2005 and 2006 respectively. In 2009, the LNG lecture was organized successfully by GDLNG. The success of Xia Sha Village Water Reservoir Purifying Project has further improved harmonious relation between GDLNG and local community.
