GDLNG Employees is the core of the company. "Develop Employee" is one of the company management principals and self-learning is also encouraged. Since 2009, the company paid more attention to employees' development, especially those working on site. To provide an open platform for mutual communication, present operation skills and create positive learning atmosphere, the GDLNG 1st Pipeline Operator Skills Training Evaluation & Competition was held from Jan. 11 to Jan. 18 organized by the Labor Union, HiPAL and Operations Dept.
As no more gas is reserved in pipeline for urgent use, the abilities of prompt response, accurate judgment and skilled operation are crucial to staff working in pipeline stations which are different from those in terminal. For the reasons mentioned above, the competition included theory examination, site operation and fire-fighting. Totally 31 operators attended the competition. Top 10 operators were awarded and three people were granted the title of Best Trainer and Excellent Trainer respectively. "Our common goal is to maintain the skills lever at a high level, but not only to improve it. We are confident to secure the safe operation." the Pipeline Commissioning Manager said.
With regard to the initiated Top (Technical Operational Principal) program organized by HR, the competition was also a good opportunity to evaluate the company's current skill level, enhancing the preparation for it.
