The company's major business includes purchasing (import), transportation, storage and re-gasification of LNG; Sales (transmission) of NG and byproducts to the Pearl River Delta and other regions; the chartering, lease and operation of LNG carriers; the purchase and sale of LNG outside China and other relevant business.
LNG is shipped from Australia by LNG carriers to the LNG Receiving Terminal, and then unloaded from Carriers to the LNG Tanks. LNG is stored in the tanks at a low temperature (-162ºC) at atmospheric pressure. When required, LNG in tanks is pumped to vaporizers where it is re-gasified into NG at high pressure.
The pressured NG is transported through trunkline to off-take stations where NG is heated, de-pressured and metered. NG coming out of the off-take station flows to the city gas pipe networks of the Gas Distribution Companies and Gas Power Plants.
The Operating team will undergo a comprehensive training program.
A technical training program will follow this, focusing on the equipment and procedures utilized in the Dapeng LNG Terminal and trunkline project. Additionally selected staffs will undergo a training program at foreign LNG Terminals to gain real hands on experience. Dapeng LNG will also be using a training simulator, which allows Operators to practice the computer controls of the LNG Terminal utilizing real operating scenarios before the Terminal is put into operation.
The Operating and Maintenance employees will also have several training sessions on safety matters as well as vendor training on the installed equipment.
